The longfin cherry barb is a peaceful fish native to Southeast Asia and Sri Lanka. They are known for their vibrant red coloration, elongated fins, and a black horizontal line down the sides of their body. They are a peaceful community fish that reach a maximum of 2 inches and can live up to 6 years. Because of their elongated fins, it is advised to not keep them with any fish that may be nippy. Their shorter fin counter-parts will nip at them, as well. The ideal aquarium is 20 gallons. They ready take pellets, live, and frozen foods.
